Deduction and deduction of donations to UNICEF

If you have decided to become a member or make a one-off donation to UNICEF, we inform you that you can deduct these donations from your income tax return. Know the deductions applicable to donations made in favour of UNICEF Spain, as an entity covered by the special tax regime of Law 49/2002, of 23 December:

  • If you are an individual, you can deduct 80% of the amount of your contributions and/or full donations for contributions of up to €250 per year in your personal income tax for this year. From that amount, the deduction will be 40% or 45% if you have been collaborating with us for at least 3 years in a row, with a limit of 10% of the taxable base.
  • If you are a legal entity, you can deduct 40%, of your contributions and/or full donations from your corporate income tax. If you have been collaborating with us for at least 3 years in a row, the deduction will be 50%, with a limit of 10% of the taxable base.
  • If you are a non-resident individual or legal entity in Spain and you obtain income in our country, you also have a tax benefit for the amount of your donations. You can check it out on https://sede.agenciatributaria.gob.es/
  • If you reside in an autonomous community subject to a particular foral regime or that has established additional deductions for donations to NGOs, the applicable deductions may be different.

Remember that in order for us to inform the Tax Agency of the amount of your fees and donations, it is essential that you have provided us with your DNI or NIF and address.

*If you have been helping children with UNICEF with your donations for more than 3 years, your deduction in this last tranche is increased to 45%. .

How long will we keep your data?

The Foundation's sending of information about our activity is legitimized by the legitimate interest of UNICEF Spain, the data controller.

You can express your opposition to this type of processing at any time, but under no circumstances does the exercise of this right entail the termination of your collaboration or your withdrawal as a member, unless you request us to do so.

To which recipients will your data be disclosed?

In general, your personal data will not be disclosed to third parties, except in the following exceptions:

  • When you become a member or make a donation, we will send your data to the Tax Administration, including the amount of your contributions, so that you can deduct your monetary contributions.
  • In the event that a judicial or administrative authority requests data from our files, we will communicate it to them provided that the legal requirements are met.
  • To collaborators and/or companies that work for the UNICEF Committee. These third-party companies only have access to the personal data necessary to carry out the contracted service, they cannot use them in any other way than that which we have requested and always under a confidentiality agreement.

The personal data we store is always transmitted over secure connections, so that your data travels over the Internet encrypted and secure.

What are your rights?

By written and signed request, accompanied by a copy of the Identity Document, addressed to UNICEF Spain, C/ Mauricio Legendre, 36 28046 Madrid, or to [email protected], you can

  • Exercise your rights of access, rectification, deletion and portability of your data, limitation and opposition to its processing
  • We will respond to your requests as soon as possible and, in any case, within one month of receiving your request. This period may be extended by a further two months if necessary, taking into account the complexity and number of applications. The person in charge will inform the interested party of the extension within the first month of the request.
  • Withdraw at any time the consent given for the processing or communication of your data.
